Hoping I can buy locally another copy of Last Days... as I have lost ownership of my first copy.
I took it to an aged care facility to show and read to an old fella there who was a shift foreman at the pulp for 13 years. He loved the illustrations (there were some of his own work area) and it took me an hour to read one story because it triggered so many memories for him, he wanted to talk at length about them. I told him I would bring the book with me and read him a story each week, but when it was time for lunch, he tucked it down the side of his wheelchair and asked me to take him to his room so he could find a safe place to store it.
